o Fly-fishing in the Soca valley of Slovenia’s Julien Alps
It's a pleasure for our local guides to help you discover the secret jewel known as Slovenian fly fishing! Most of the fishing is located in the North-West part of Slovenia's Julian Alps. The waters are renowned for their sky blue glacial colours, for example the Soca river and its tributaries. The Soca is the jewel of Slovenian rivers, a national treasure of the Slovenian people. It has been described as one of the most beautiful rivers of Europe, if not the most beautiful of all. The Soca is populated by the indigenous trout, the marble trout, and also the brown trout, and the Soca grayling. The best period for fishing usually occurs in late August and September. |
